In the pictures you can see a felted fleece rug that had been used as a seat for about 10 years. It looked felted and ugly. First I washed it in the washing machine with a 40 degree hand wash program. Then I dried the blanket outside. Then I combed the blanket with a hairbrush. You can also use a knitting needle to pull the wool out of the sweaters a little. And then at the end you can rub the wool together with some hair care product that will bring out the curls more - or put a little cream, I think even oil might work. Then the curls will come back again. And if you comb the blanket with a brush, don't be alarmed - quite a lot of hair will come off the blanket - that's okay.
